Does anyone else feel like the game just isn't that smooth in general? Even though I'm playing at 60fps now it often doesn't feel like it. I'm playing in fullscreen.
I did the side quest last night in White Orchard where you ill the noonwraith at the well. I remember seeing Vinny struggle with it when watching the quick look - did anyone else? I read the bestiary entry which states right at the end that they're a lot weaker at night so that's when I took it on and it went down in a few hits.
I met Yen but I think I'm going to go back to White Orchard and finish exploring that area before moving on to Velen. I found one of the diagrams for the swords from the school of the viper and I'd like to find the other one. There doesn't seem to be a weaponsmith in White Orchard though so I guess I'll have to wait until I move on to actually craft them.
And on the new alchemy system, I read this from one of the senior developers yesterday:
One of the reasons behind this is that with the open world it quickly became a pain to go really far to grab that one plant you need for a potion. If it’s a potion you use often there is no challenge in that, it’s just annoying.
So why did they go and add fucking item durability!
