Watched civil war for the second time tonight (and a few beers). Probably my third fav marvel studios film behind guardians and winter soldier. No spoilers but the airport scene shown in the trailer is perfect. No character gets short changed they all get their moment to shine and show why they fight for what team etc. It's so well mixed up as well I don't know how the russo's did it. I mean every hero must fight the other team at least once and it's so well done it doesn't feel staged you never feel lost or lose track of who is fighting who. I'm no hardcore comic reader but I dabble at work (mainly tv shows being made etc, read preacher last trip, fucked up isn't the word, how they've made a tv show I don't know but I'm looking forward to seeing it) read civil war but it still surprised me. Obviously it's toned down but the basic structure is there. Sebastian Stan deserves a lot of credit. The 'sorry Tony but he's my friend' line from the trailer has so much emotional impact in the scene because we've watched these characters for nearly 10 years now. It's no Oscar winning film but there's meaning behind it, so much more so then the terrible batman v superman (affleck was the bomb, the rest terrible). I've never read any black panther but Chadwicks performance anchors the film and genuinely makes me excited for his standalone film. Why was Aquaman, Wonder Woman, flash etc in batman v superman? Purely to poorly set up a stand alone film. Marvel have done the same but with black panther but you actually get a full(ish) back story and empathise with him, take note DC. Also there's another cameo as we all know, the best performance of that 'cameo' ever on screen. Simply amazing. I want THAT standalone film now. He is that good. Again not a spoiler because it's all over the net who plays her......but when did aunt may become a cougar?!?!?! She is stunning!
