I went to see The Hateful Eight last weekend. It was in glorious 70mm, and presented with an intermission and overture. Glad there was an intermission as it was a very long movie. The visuals were stunning though, as was the sound (and music from Ennio Morricone!). It is a very slow movie, but probably has less tension than Django Unchained or Inglorious Basterds, possibly because there isn't really a good character in the bunch. They're all scumbags, so when everyone inevitably dies it feels all rather inconsequential. .
If you get the opportunity to see it in 70mm I would definitely take it. Awesome unique presentation, and making more of an occasion of going to the cinema might actually make me want to go more often.
