It's not an ideal environment to be changing lenses though which is why a zoom would be nice. Especially as you're limited to shooting from the same distance the entire time.
800, 1600 and 3200 with a shutter speed between 320 and 500. It was all a bit trial and error. I used spot-metering with their faces always being the focus point which was challenging as they were moving around but I think with matrix or centre-weighted, I would have just lost all the contrast.
I know a lot of people dislike black and white but it really suited these. For one thing I think it adds a lot of atmosphere and works well with the added grain from the high ISO but mostly, they just weren't aesthetically pleasing in colour: the lighting was a dreadfully uncoordinated mix of blue and green fill lights with yellow and white spots and the bright orange illuminated club signage (you cans see at the back of the photos).
