The soundtrack sounds exquisite, this wouldn't be out of place in The Omen films, gives me goosebumps.
Awful, ill fitting music. Who on earth is responsible for promoting someone's shitty hipster music? They did something similiar with Dark Souls 2, using Where Is My Mind by The Pixies, although in that case the song is good but still ill fitting.
Talking to myself again.
Last page of a magazine scan previewing the game, this game has gone from must have to literally can't wait another minute to play it. I didn't realise it has gone down more of a horror route as opposed to the dark fantasy of Dark Souls.
One of the few games to escape the delay train I guess, it's just gone gold.
It was delayed for two months.
Thank God it has gone gold though, another delay at this stage would be unbearable.
Saw someone playing this on a PS4 stream earlier before it was quickly taken down. I havent really seen anything since the original video so I was really suprised how it looked. Seemed almost cell shaded.
Strange how it should appear that way to you, it's not cel shaded though and it looks pretty much like Dark Souls albeit with more advanced visuals.
In full hype mood now, Friday can't come soon enough.
I presume I'm the only one here getting it?
I'll watch the GB Quick Look and see what I think of it but I cant see myself buying it. Was nice to see faster movement than Dark Souls though in that brief stream I was watching.
Possibly. It looks interesting but it also looks like a faster Dark Souls but without the RPG elements so I don't know if I'll have the time/patience to complete it!
It's quite different from the Souls games as far as combat goes, there are no shields for a start and it encourages you to be more aggressive. Interesting mechanic is that when you get hit you have a small window of opportunity to attack and get some health back with successful strikes.
I was meaning more in terms of difficulty. I've always enjoyed the Souls games but there comes a point where I just get fed up of fighting for every yard of progress so I end up never completing them!
I'm definitely interested in the game, although I appreciate the slower nature of Dark Souls. I have heard the load times are abysmal in this though, I think with the constant dying it might get really frustrating.
I hadn't heard that. Just Googled it and you're right. 40 seconds is obnoxiously long. That does not sound good. I hope that 3GB day one patch goes some way to addressing it.
Bloodborne is one of those experiences that totally consumes you when you're involved in it and working to see all that it has to offer. In that sense it's the digital edition of a round-the-world trip to foreign continents, each turning of a corner providing equal helpings of excitement and trepidation. That recipe brings it own rewards by simply being a part of it, the seemingly effortless delivery indicative of a design team and philosophy that is only getting sharper.
I was watching someone in Japan playing the game on Twitch last night and it really does look very much like a faster paced Dark Souls. I thought it was more of a pure action title but it still looks to have a lot of the stats/levelling up from that series as well as the usual stuff like bonfires, sorry 'lamps', a home hub and the usual assortment of items dropped by enemies to help improve your character level.
I was reading some reviews/watching some videos over lunch and it sounds so good. Although if anything it is making me want to play Souls II before I buy it.
Seems like one of those games where its such a shame that I dont find the Souls games fun to play in the slightest so im missing out on an experience. Like The Last of Us, I know its a brilliant game but its gameplay is not for me.
Yeah it is shame really, they are quite an experience as far as the whole world design goes but if the gameplay isn't for you then you wouldn't enjoy it.
Anyway, they're working on a patch for those load times.
